Kadulu Oya (Stream of Tears) is a documentary film about the women farmers victimized by Micro-loan scams. According to the reports there are 2.8 million people (2.4 million are women) in Sri Lanka has obtain micro-loans from different companies, mostly which are unregulated. These companies are using different tack ticks to collect loan installments from women, varying from by-force, sexual harassments and abuses etc. Up to date, more than 200 women has committed suicide due to the pressure from companies. This film exposes the fate of these rural women farmers taking the case from Welioya, in Northern Province of Sri Lanka.
